We’re absolutely ecstatic to announce that Benchmaster has been shortlisted for Manufacturer of the Year (under £25m) and the Medical, Life Sciences & Healthcare Award for Insider’s Made in the North West Awards!
Our team worked extremely hard in 2021 and we couldn’t be prouder of them, without them, we wouldn’t be shortlisted for this amazing award. Even through COVID, the team at Benchmaster were designing innovative solutions for our customers such as our social distancing workbenches and still manufacturing and delivering workbenches to our customers in record time. Every single high-quality bench we send out is a testament to them and all the hard work they continue to do each day.
Benchmaster had many obstacles to overcome during 2021, we also achieved a lot in this year. One of our most notable moments during 2021 had to be the manufacture and installation of 87 fully welded COVID-safe workbenches to Teamwork Trust in just two weeks. This project was close to our hearts as Teamwork Trust is a charity supporting autistic adults, people with learning disabilities and individuals with mental health needs and we were proud to help welcome their anxious members back with equipment that made feel comfortable and safe. 2021 also was a record year in terms of turnover and Benchmaster expanded out of England, selling to Scotland, Ireland and Germany. We supplied hundreds of workstations to companies and even supplied our products to our amazing National Health Service.
To be shortlisted for this award is an incredible achievement in our eyes, it shows what we bring to the North West and how we strengthen our community with our high-quality workbenches and trolleys. It’s also the Made in the North West Awards’ ten year anniversary, they’ve been celebrating manufacturers in this region for a long time and we’re more than happy to be included in this prestigious award.
We believe that the North West has some of the best manufacturers in the UK (and that’s not just because we’re here!). There’s so much innovation, creativity and quality within this region and we’re proud to be a part of it. Manufacturing our product range from our premises in Mossley near Ashton-under-Lyne, all of our workbenches and trolleys are 100% British and made in the North West.
Thanks to all of our customers who purchased from us in 2021, the Insider team for selecting us and of course, our amazing Benchmaster staff. Our fingers are crossed for the awards ceremony on the 5th of May. Even if we don’t win though, being shortlisted is a massive achievement in itself. Finally, good luck to the rest of the nominees!
