They have been performing exactly as we require. “Hi, bench looks great and I now have my heavy pillar drill and vice on it. The finish is nice also with a well folded top and door. The only thing I would mention is when you mount a vice, like your average Record vice, the front 2 bolts go through the angle support under the bench but there is no rear angle support underneath the bench for the 1 rear bolt hole in the vice. Therefore, the rear fixing only bolts to the top. I suppose it depends on the size of the vice though and you will not know this info if the customer is not purchasing it from you. Anyway looks a pretty sturdy bench at the moment.”

If the bench is up to a wall the door does not open far enough for the bottom drawer to open easily, the to drawer is also affected slightly. Just needs the return cutting back a little. I don’t buy a lot of benches but they seemed the best value for money made to measure benches I could find online.”

On ordering I asked that delivery on one particular day should be avoided as I would be at an event, and was assured that I would be contacted to arrange a suitable delivery day. On the plus side, the event was cancelled due to fog so I was not only in to receive the bench but its arrival brightened up my day! The website is particularly clear when it comes to choosing options, and delivery was made in the suggested time scale. Really solid bench and well finished. Particularly like the bright steel top. Only slight criticism would be that the vice plate was not quite deep enough for a very ancient Record No.4 and misses its rear central fixing bolt so needed a bit of extra bracing. No chance of the vice falling off though, and a joy to finally have a proper workbench. Overall very pleased with the product at what seems a fair price, particularly compared to alternatives on web. Would recommend without hesitation.”

Secondly the adjustment levers for the swivelling vice base, one of them does not clear the vice very well making it hard to adjust. I think this is just inaccurate machining of the swivel base.
